  • Berlin-based creative mind, passionate about the art world and fascinated by dynamics behind creative processes.

After graduating in Fashion Design, I followed my passion and attitude for handwork and craftsmanship that led me to Berlin, where I work in ateliers as a costume designer/maker for couture collections and made-to-measure dresses.

I find myself enchanted by the opera/theatre world, where costumes allow to dig deeper into the story/narration and silently contribute to the outcome of the performances. I take part in the collective out of a strong desire to work with other young artists, while exploring and experimenting in the contemporary artistic-musical world.

  • Born in Berlin in 1992, Sebastian Urbanke began his vocal career in his childhood. At the age of seven he received classical singing lessons from Daniela Fiola and quickly developed into the solo soprano of the Berlin Boys' Choir, with whom he performed for over 10 years in numerous concerts with artists such as Karl Ludwig Hecht, Sir Simon Rattle, Simon Halsey and Christian Thielemann in the Berlin Philharmonie , productions of the Deutsche Oper Berlin as well as CD recordings (The role of frivolity in "Dietrich Buxtehude: The Last Judgment", Capella Cantorum under Klaus Eichhorn, 2005 jpc) was able to gain further experience.

In 2012 he passed the entrance examination for classical singing studies at the Hanns Eisler University of Music and was placed in the class of Prof. Thomas Quasthoff, who, in addition to his studies, he accompanied for several years as an assistant in his performances and readings throughout Europe and so deeply was able to gain insights into the artist scene. In addition to his intensive work with the voice, he developed a keen interest in philosophy and literature as well as in the Berlin subculture scene.

He began to write his own poems in which he processed his experiences and insights and has since recited them under his artist synonym Siegfried Wahnreich at readings, performances and multimedia theater productions such as in Sisyphos, Klunkerkranich, Alte Münze, Feel Festival, Hedoné Seminar, Reflex Festival and at the Garbicz Festival Poland.

"Your magic binds again what fashion has strictly divided" - His greatest passion is the attempt to bring the opposing and prejudiced worlds of "subculture" and "high culture" into contact with each other, to reconcile them and to encourage young and old people to embrace culture and classical music and philosophy to inspire.
